Arts & Crafts - The Ashmolean - Burne Jones

The Ashmoleon Museum houses many priceless and beautiful objects, among them is a cupboard or cabinet. This sounds unremarkable until you realise it was painted by Edward Burne Jones as a wedding gift for his friend WIlliam Morris - it's magnificent. I spotted a small styalised peacock detail on the cabinet and a collection of jewellery was born!

Art Deco - Black onyx and amber

A bold use of black onyx and amber - classical Art Deco colours and designs.

Arts & Crafts -- The Turquoise Suite

Inspired by the great designer Archibald Knox, this stylish suite is set with turquoise and freshwater pearls.

Arts & Crafts - The Iolite Collection

Deep blue iolite and freshwater pearl set in a typical Arts & Crafts Heart design.

Arts & Crafts - The Labradorite Suite

More designs inspired by Archibald Knox, this time set with labradorites - a stone which throws out blues, greens and greys and was much loved by designers of the Arts & Crafts period.

Arts & Crafts - The Rhodolite Garnet Suite

Rhodolite garnet has a softer, pinker look than its cousin and teamed with freshwater pearls provides an up to date version of an Arts & Crafts design.
